How to conduct the automatic STB firmware update?

Firmware version auto update process:

1. Set-top box switches on and transmits its firmware ImageDescription and ImageDate to the server.

2. The server compares the received information with update condition on the server. See here for details about update condition setup.

3. If the condition is fulfilled and the firmware should be updated according to the received information, the firmware will be updated compulsory.

Auto update is done on the following URL. Link can be found in configuration file custom.ini, section [system].

Example of adding URL to custom.ini:

You should create directories with the numbers of the STB models - /[model number], for example, /322, /256, /254 and so on in web folder root of the server. These catalogs should contain the software images - imageupdate.
