How to pair MAG425A Remote
As long as the Remote is not paired, you can use alternative input devices like a keyboard, mouse, IR remote to control the box.
Steps to pairing
- Make sure that the Remote & accessories section of Settings does not contain any Remote entry (like Infomir OPAL). In case it exists, remove it.
- Turn the set-top box to pairing mode - press and hold 3 seconds Standby On/Off button located on the top cover of the box. The corresponding image with the Remote should appear on the screen.
- Make the Remote discoverable. Press and hold two keys OK and Home until the red LED on the Remote lights up steadily. See also Additional Description.
- The connection is established automatically, the pairing stages are noted on the screen: MAC address of the Remote (that is, the Remote is detected), Pairing, Connecting, Connected.
- If pairing is succeeded, the LED of the Remote will turn off and the Remote along with the box will exit pairing mode. The Remote is ready to use.

How to make remote control discoverable
The way you can make the Remote be discoverable depends on whether it contains (any) current pairing info:
- Factory settings - remote control does not contain pairing info. In this condition, the Remote is supplied by the manufacturer until it is paired to the set-top box. You also can put Remote in such a condition if you restore the Remote factory settings. To make the Remote discoverable: press any button on the Remote - the red LED on the Remote will light up.
- Remote control contains pairing info. If the remote control was previously connected to any set-top box, it stores pairing info. To make the Remote discoverable: press and hold OK key and Home key until the red LED on the Remote lights up.
How to rename MAG425A Remote?
The name of the Bluetooth Remote that was assigned by default during pairing can be changed: go to Settings → under Remote & Accessories, select your Remote (in the example - Infomir OPAL) → select Change name → Click ОК key and enter a new name of the Remote (in the example - My Remote) using on-screen or real keyboard. Confirm entering with Enter key → press Back key to get back to Settings.
How to check connection to Remote MAG425A
If the set-top box is not responding to the Bluetooth Remote key pressing, use alternative input devices like keyboard, mouse, IR remote to navigate through Settings.
To check the connection of the Bluetooth Remote, go to Settings → under Remote & Accessories, select the Remote (in the example - Infomir OPAL). The connection status is being displayed below (in the example - Connected). If no one Remote is specified in Settings it indicates that the set-top box does not contain pairing info. To use the Remote you should pair it.
How to remove MAG425A Remote connection
To remove the connection of the Bluetooth Remote from the Settings, you should delete the corresponding entry in the Settings: go to Settings → Remote & Accessories → select your Remote (in the example - Infomir OPAL) → select Unpair → click OK → the set-top box will delete the connection and return back to Settings.
How to restore factory settings of MAG425A Remote
To restore factory settings (delete the bond info saved in the Remote), press EPG and APP keys simultaneously for 3 seconds, at this time the LED starts blinking quickly → as long as the LED is blinking (within 5 seconds) press the OK key to confirm the deletion → after the deletion succeeds, LED lights normally on 5 seconds, then the Remote sleeps.
