This section describes various types of the Infra-Red Remote Control Unit (hereafter RCU or RC) which is supplied as part of STB of the MAG family.
RCU is the main input/control device of STB. Each RCU model intends to operate a specific model of STB and related software applications. Nevertheless, in the case of using the main coding system, all RCU models can also be engaged to control other STB MAG models.
Certain RC models (so-called programmable or learning RC) are also able to control the TV and other devices (like audio amplifier) functions, by copying Infra-Red data of the original RC.
